My goal is to represent the Saratoga students, families and teachers and ensure public education stays strong, during these unprecedented challenges of Covid-19 and for years to come.

In March 2014, after searching for a rich, cultural community with school excellence, our family moved to Saratoga from Livermore, CA. Our daughters, now aged 12 and 14, started school in Kindergarten and Second grade.

Growing up in France, where public schools are the foundation of education, I strongly believe the young generation deserves the best, well-rounded education to be ready to challenge the world.

Graduated from the University of Grenoble, with a Ph.D. in Physics prior to moving to California in 1999.

Trained in music at the Conservatory level as a cello player from the age of 5.

Engineer in the area of Telecoms and Optics for 20 years. Currently working as a Laser design engineer in the fiber sensing area.

Community involvement:

In 2015, I volunteered in the after-school SUSD orchestra program where I worked with the orchestra teacher helping students tune instruments, use bows and to set-up music stands and chairs.

I was also the liaison between Saratoga Music Boosters (SMB) and families for Redwood Middle School and SUSD.

Being passionate about music and arts, I was a strong advocate to have orchestra as an elective at Redwood middle School. With the strong support of the community, orchestra became an elective in September 2017.

Through this involvement, I realized the community desires a balanced education, with both excellence in academics as well as the arts.

Since February 2019, I am an Assistant Scout Master in the Saratoga Girl Troop from Boys Scouts of America, Troop 582. I attend camping trips and community service projects  all led by the Scouts. It is a great honor to witness this young generation of women becoming leaders of the world.

Moving forward:

Covid-19 is challenging all of us and our schools are not immune to it. It is crucial that all students continue to receive a strong education, not only in academics but also in social-emotional support.

As a school board member, I will be a voice for students and families and will work with members of the school board, teachers and administrative staff to ensure goals are met.
